🏃‍♀️ It’s Fun Run Time!

Ready, set, RUN! 🎉 Get ready for DCSM’s annual Fun Run! 🎉 The Montessori Educational Foundation (MEF) is proud to continue this fun-filled tradition that brings our school community together while raising funds for important needs that go beyond the district budget. Our students are getting ready to run, laugh, cheer, and have an amazing day together!

This year, our goal is to raise $65,000, with a suggested student fundraising goal of $125.

Last year, your generosity made a BIG difference! Together, we replaced the aging turf on the elementary playground, added an address monument sign for the Middle School, and provided valuable teacher training and scholarships.

This year, we’re running toward two important goals:

📚 Classroom Literacy Materials
From literacy curriculum guides and assessment tools to reading resources, classroom book sets, and intervention materials, these resources will give our teachers more tools to help every student become a confident reader.

🪑 New Middle School Work Tables
We’ll be replacing aging work tables to create more functional, comfortable spaces for our Middle School students to learn and collaborate.

And, of course, we need a little extra motivation for our runners! 🎈

🎉 THE MORE WE RAISE, THE MORE WE CELEBRATE!

If our school community reaches our $65,000 fundraising goal, EVERY classroom will earn an inflatable party! And to make things even more exciting, the top fundraising classroom in each pod will earn extra time at their party. 🏆

How the Fun Run Works - Let's-a Go!

Starting Monday, September 18, the race to raise begins! Students will bring home a donation envelope with a welcome letter and prize sheet. Head over to www.mybooster.com to set up your family's fundraising page. From there, you can send emails, post on social media, and collect those golden coins (a.k.a. donations)! 

Each class is aiming for $2,500 - that's-a lot of power-ups! Track your progress online and see who's leading the pack!

Company Matches - Power-Up your Donations!

Want to double your impact like grabbing a Super Mushroom? If your company offers donation matching, make sure to include proof in the donation envelope by October 5th at 10 pm MT. Acceptable forms include:

• A printout from the company portal showing the approved match
• A letter from HR confirming the match
• An email with the match details
• Any official document showing the match amount and approval

Prizes - It's-a Party Time!

Check out the prize sheet for all the goodies! Every class that raises $2,500 gets invited to the Fun Run Prize Day Inflatable Party — complete with a bounce house and obstacle course on the new turf field! Each class gets 15 minutes of playtime, and the top class in each pod gets an EXTRA 15 minutes! Woohoo!

The party’s on October 2, and we need volunteers to help run the show. Sign up here and be part of the celebration!

The Big Day - Fun Run Friday!

Mark your calendars — the Fun Run kicks off Friday, October 2 at 8:45am sharp! Students will get their Fun Run shirts that morning and run for 10 minutes, collecting bracelets to track their laps. Middle School, Lower El, and Upper El will run around the school median, while Primary students will zoom around the turf field.

Parking - Watch Out for Goombas!

The elementary parking lot closes at 8:40am, so plan to park off-site. Max Drive and King Soopers are great options. No parking on the road behind the school or on grassy areas — Bowser’s rules!
